Our response to the L.A. Wildfires

When the fires hit our beautiful Los Angeles communities on January 7, 2025, many musicians started posting messages with offers to help those who lost everything in the fires. Ideas ranged from offering clothing, toiletries, food, to a spare room to use until they could find shelter. We all wanted to help!
Several of us began discussing how best to help working musicians get back to work as quickly as possible without costing them precious resources. Out of that discussion, Free Concert Clothing Co-op was born! Wendy Prober-Cohen, Karen Garrity, Colleen Coomber, Laurie Niles, Dynell Weber, and Rena Urso jumped in, pooled their strengths, and created this FREE resource for our musical colleagues to rebuild their wardrobe so they could get back to work, doing what they love.
This clothing co-op offers free pre-loved, gently used concert clothing, shoes and accessories. None of this would be possible without the amazing generosity of our musical community, both local and out of state. The website went live on Monday, January 20, 2025.
